Co-learning, knowledge exchange and co-production

The YUP project is now in an exciting new phase of co-learning, knowledge exchange and the co-production of digital tools. In the coming months this will involve the undertaking of one city-wide forum in each of the case study cities with the participation of young people and city stakeholders (including municipal government actors or those from NGOs, educational institutions, etc). The City Fora will share, explore and discuss the findings from the YUP research so far, including patterns in young people’s participation, young people’s digital practices and access, and the key domains they are interested to work in. These events will also work to explore and agree shared priority areas (policy domains: e.g. environmental issues; mobility; sport; culture; education; housing) for urban governance interventions and the co-production of digital tools.

This work will contribute to the co-production of one digital platform per city, targeting the priority policy domains that emerge in the City Fora and in discussions between YUP local partners, young people and city stakeholders. The co-production will involve working with 10-15 young people in each city along with city stakeholders to co-produce a digital platform that meets their needs and will enable a more effective involvement in urban governance processes.

Watch this space for more information soon on the City Fora initial workshops, including reports and photos, and on the emerging co-production.
