Their story

The founders, who believe that education and literacy are essential rights for every child, chose the name because of the meanings of the words Adya and Pelita. “Adya” means the primary source that possesses many virtues, while “Pelita” means light or something that illuminates. With this name, Adya Pelita Indonesia was established to become a primary source of goodness that can illuminate Indonesian children. Their dream is for the Adya Foundation to produce books that serve as a primary source of goodness, thus illuminating Indonesian children and enabling them to become the light of Indonesia itself in the future.
