Mission and objectives
To lessen the load on the abandoned abused and starving Bali street dogs and protect them from extinction due to relentless culling.
Main activities with youth
Activities include providing vaccinations, sterilization, and other necessary medical assistance to all rescued animals and conducting educational programs for all ages. They also actively voice the “Dog Squad” to enforce animal protection laws. Supporting the adoption and preservation of Bali dogs with all donors and adopters. Opening volunteer activities for all Bali Dog Adoption Rehabilitation Center (BARC) Sanctuary Volunteer Program groups. They also raise donations in cash and kind and sell products and souvenirs in their shop. They also established the first multi-species sanctuary in Bali, known as ‘Warrior’s Legacy’ in Tabanan, Bali.
Their story
Founded by Linda Buller, BARC is a no-kill shelter that provides vaccination, sterilization, and other necessary medical assistance to all rescued animals.
Constituency
It is open to all ages. Participants can donate money or goods, become volunteers, adopters, shop souvenir buyers, or be sponsors.
Current management
Most staff members are 30 years old.
