Main activities with youth

Activities include the promotion of female political participation, training for women running in elections and supporting female political candidates, inclusive programs targeting marginalised groups such as female heads of households, poor women, children, and survivors of violence or HIV/AIDS, Sekolah Perempuan and Village Discussion.

Their story

Bali Sruti, an organisation focused on women’s issues, was established on August 19, 2004, by Ir. Luh Riniti Rahayu M.Si (Academician, Former Member of the Bali General Elections Commission 2003-2008), Dra. Sita van Bemmelen MA (Gender Consultant), and Kusumawati SH (Bureaucrat and Legal Expert). The organisation has been operating since November 1, 2004, has legal status, and is registered with the Bali Provincial Government.

Constituency

Bali Sruti’s members include academics, lawyers, anthropologists, public health experts, and journalists. It has a secretary, a small office, and adequate facilities. The members are mostly women of no specific age.

Current management

The organisation has a Director, Secretary, Treasurer, Organization Division, and Socialization and Campaign Division.
