Mission and objectives

Increasing productivity at the community level, with villages empowered to manage their natural resources.

Main activities with youth

Activities include engaging communities, government agencies, youth organisations, and private corporations in bamboo seedling and planting programs to restore critical lands, protect water sources, absorb carbon, and prevent landslides. Also, organise seedling and planting, bamboo activation, and bamboo RnD.

Their story

The foundation has a long-standing partnership with the Indonesian public sector and private enterprises. Its trustees include Dr Emil Salim, former Indonesian Minister of the Environment; Dr Elizabeth Widjaya, a notable researcher in Bamboo Taxonomy; Mr Trisura Suhardi, Director General of the Department of Small Industries; and many others.
