Their story

A group of young individuals from Bar Elias, aged between 35 and 45, Lebanese residents of Bar Elias, started an initiative to assist individuals in securing essentials such as food, medicine, and other necessities due to the poor economic situation depriving many people of life’s necessities. Their motivation stems from humanitarianism, witnessing people’s suffering and the difficulty they face in meeting life’s requirements, prompting them to establish this initiative to alleviate distressing scenes, such as families unable to provide food for their children.

Constituency

The initiative works with age groups of 14 to 25 of various nationalities (Lebanese, Syrian, Palestinian).
They meet young people at their centre, in an external public place (for example, a street, or park…)

Current management

The activities are organised by Lebanese residents of Bar Elias, aged between 35 and 45, who oversee the organisation of activities and guide the association members.

Use of digital tools

They use Facebook to promote their work, and gather donations by sharing information about medical cases, for example, to raise funds for treatment. They also promote their activities by posting about events or lectures they plan to conduct.
