Forum Anak Denpasar (FAD) / Denpasar Child Forum


Mission and objectives

The Child Forum, fostered by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia through the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, bridges communication and interaction between the government and children throughout Indonesia to fulfil children’s participation rights.

Main activities with youth

Activities include Art Competitions and traditional games such as the Bakiak Putri Competition, Tajog Putra, Deduplak Putra, and Nyurat Aksara Bali for elementary school students; sketch competitions for junior high school students; and quiz, essay, and speech competitions for high school students. FAD is also active in conducting Online Campaigns through Instagram media.

Their story

Established in 2011 with the Leading Sector, namely the Denpasar City Family Planning and Women’s Empowerment Agency (KBPP Denpasar City) with the Denpasar Mayor’s Decree.

Constituency

Working with teens in Denpasar aged 14-19 years old.

Current management

Most members are middle and high school students ranging from 14-19 years old.
