Ikatan Pelajar Muhammadiyah (IPM) / Muhammadiyah Students Association Surakarta


Mission and objectives

IPM has two strategic values. First, IPM acts as an actifier of the preaching movement among students. Second, IPM is a Muhammadiyah cadre institution that can carry Muhammadiyah’s mission in the future.

Main activities with youth

Conduct offline talkshow events, namely FORTASI; conduct sports activities (futsal) with internal members; online and offline public discussion.

Their story

The Muhammadiyah Student Association (IPM) establishment cannot be separated from the background of Muhammadiyah’s establishment as an Islamic preaching movement and the number of Muhammadiyah schools to nurture and train cadres.

Constituency

Muhammadiyah’s College Students in Surakarta. Mostly engage women as speakers in their events.

Current management

Each branch has a chairman, secretary, and treasurer. There are five branches in Solo (South Solo, Jebres, North Solo, Laweyan, and Kota Barat).
