KISARA


Mission and objectives

The purpose of KISARA is to increase youth participation and empower youth to be involved in dealing with various reproductive health and sexuality issues, such as the increasing number of unsafe premarital sex, unwanted pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections, HIV-AIDS and drug abuse.

Main activities with youth

Podcast, online campaign, talks for teens and counselling.

Their story

On May 14, 1994, KISARA was formed by youth volunteers and several youth observers, including Prof. Wimpie Pangkahila, doctor Mangku Karmaya, and others. Currently, KISARA has changed to management in 2023/2025 with a new concept and direction of movement entitled GRoW (Get Reflection of World) with the hope of being able to invite more young people to grow together and expand the scope of KISARA PKBI Bali’s work in the broader scope.

Constituency

The work is done voluntarily through in-person counselling, mostly in Denpasar. The target group is young people between 10 and 18 years old.

Current management

Their membership includes young people 18-25.
