Korps Pergerakan Mahasiswa Islam Putri (KOPRI) / Indonesian Islamic Women Student Movement

Mission and objectives

KOPRI is a student organisation affiliated with the PMII student organization. KOPRI works on gender issues and women’s empowerment.

Main activities with youth

KOPRI has activities such as internal training for cadres, seminars, youth movements about (gender issues, empowerment of women and children, education and social), mobilising masses, discussions, and hearings with local governments. The purpose of training is to improve skills or capacity building.

Their story

KOPRI was created to address PMII’s need for a forum for female cadres. KOPRI used to be PMII’s women’s field. It became semi-autonomous with PMII.

Constituency

KOPRI offers training for female PMII cadres, which is called the female cadre school or Sekolah Kader Putri (SKD).

Current management

KOPRI adhere to PMII bylaws.
