Their story

PUKAPS was established in 2017 and was initiated by female students at the local university UMS. In its early years, the community primarily organized discussion sessions, but in 2019, they recruited staff, and in 2020, they secured funding from SEAFAM and YSEALY. PUKAPS also received funding from WFA, which enabled them to launch programs such as Femstride classes, workshops, and a zine. They hold a biennial event called SEA PROJECT.

Constituency

They collaborate with grassroots stakeholders in the region, nationally and internationally, and with sexual harassment victims in Karesidenan Surakarta (mostly Solo).

The organisation is led by a woman. There is a clear board structure, director and head of each division. There is no age limitation for members, but the current age range is 19-27.
