Mission and objectives

Educate about the cultural wealth and history of Solo City through field trips.

Main activities with youth

Activities include city tour/open trip to visit heritage buildings in Solo City. The trips carried out by Surakarta Walking Tour members are quite diverse. Starting with walking to visit various heritage destinations, cycling, and taking the Werkudara bus to Sepur Kluthuk Jaladara.

Their story

Surakarta Walking Tour was formed in 2017. Initially, it was one of the new divisions formed from the Laku Lampah Community. Previously known as the Solo Blusukan Community in 2012. However, Surakarta Walking Tour activities are more active than those of the main community. The Surakarta Walking Tour activists come from various disciplines, such as history, culture, architecture, and communication.

Constituency

Open to everyone who likes heritage products, especially in Solo City.

Current management

People aged 25-30 years with diverse backgrounds who love heritage products.
