Mission and objectives

Sradhasala is a community engaged in philology, specifically studying ancient Javanese manuscripts and manuscripts in Indonesia.

Main activities with youth

The community does research, organise workshops, discussion forums, classes about Javanese culture, manuscripts and history.

Their story

The community was established on April 2, 2016, on the thousandth anniversary of the death of one of the masters of ancient Javanese literature, Romo I. Kuntara Wirya Martana, S.J. then formed this community based on a sense of concern for education about ancient Javanese literature, Javanese and Indonesian culture, and history.

Constituency

Young people, often university students, are recruited as members, administrators, and volunteers.
