Community Center for people with visual impairment in Bali to access services and life necessities.
Main activities with youth
Campaign, podcast, art and sports for people with visual impairment. Teratai Foundation also provides training for paralympic athletes.
Their story
Founded in February 2016 by Didon Kajeng. Didon, like other members of the Teratai Foundation, lived a life with vision until an accident in 2014. After the accident, Dido faced a complete loss of vision. After multiple attempts to take his own life, he had an epiphany and the Teratai Foundation was created.
Constituency
People with visual impairment who live in the south of Bali. Teratai Foundation targets young people aged 18 years old and above.
Current management
Mostly 20 years old and above, including some paralympic athletes.
