Mission and objectives

Transportologi has a mission to develop transportation science, particularly sustainable transportation, in Indonesia, in terms of theory and practice, through research, discussions, and transportation policy advocacy work. Transportologi believes that progress in sustainable transportation is a way to ensure the earth’s future sustainability and the future of the people who live in it. This also means striving for fair, transparent and accountable transportation.

Main activities with youth

Activities include events, discussions, and research about the urban mobility movement with citizens. Advocate inclusive mobility for people with disability and senior citizens.

Their story

Transportologi is a discussion community formed to develop discourse around transportation problems in Indonesia and the world and how it connects with other fields, such as economics, society and politics. Transportologi was founded in March 2017 by two transportation planners actively creating a city with sustainable transportation in the city of Solo.

Constituency

Participants and members are young people (no age specified).

Current management

The co-founders are the transport planners Titis Efrindu Bawono, Sukma Larastiti, and Septina Setyaningrum.
