Mission and objectives

Yayasan Sahabat Kapas’ mission is to fulfil the rights of children and stop all types of discrimination against vulnerable children and children with special conditions.

Main activities with youth

Activities include workshops with groups of children and students, sharing sessions about child protection topics, and online counselling.

Their story

Originally called Kapas, this organisation was created, managed and driven by individuals who care about Children in Special and Vulnerable Conditions (AKKR), which includes children who are temporarily forced to live in prisons/detention centres/LPKA due to violations of the law.

Constituency

Children in Special and Vulnerable Conditions (AKKR), children in conflict with the law (ABH), and young people in general.

Current management

The leader, Dian Sasmita, is a female lawyer.
