YAPHI is a legal aid institution focused on advocacy about sexual harassment and violence, community empowerment, and advocacy on agrarian issues in Surakarta.

Their story

YAPHI was established in 1987 by Bimbingan Kesejahteraan Sosial Foundation (YBKS) and Ignatius Slamet Riyadi Surakarta Foundation (YISR).

Constituency

Engages with young people older than 20 years old, including university students, to become volunteers and be part of the foundation board.

Current management

The organisation is led by a man. There is a clear board structure, director and head of each division. Members are aged 23 to 40 years old.
